Dental on Lawrence cosmetic dental treatments include…
Crowns

Teeth that are chipped or broken, or have been weakened due to Root Canal therapy can be strengthened and protected by having a crown fitted.

Teeth whitening
Dental on Lawrence’s teeth whitening kit can quickly improve the appearance of discoloured teeth. Our easy-to-use colgate whitening solution can be used in the comfort of your own home.

Bridges
When a tooth can’t be saved and needs to be replaced, your dentist may recommend a ‘bridge’ – an artificial tooth anchored to one or both adjacent teeth using crowns. The bridge closes the gap and stabilises the bite, making for a durable and attractive replacement.

Implants
An effective alternative to dentures, a dental implant is just like your own tooth. The implant is surgically inserted into the jaw by oral & maxillofacial surgeons and, once integrated into the bone, it is restored with a specialised crown. It effectively serves as a permanent, free-standing tooth replacement which feels and looks like a natural tooth.
Managing Sleep Apnoea with Dental Treatment
At Dental on Lawrence, we offer effective, non-invasive solutions for managing mild to moderate sleep apnoea, including oral appliance therapy (OAT). One of the most common and successful options is the use of mandibular advancement devices (MADs)—custom-fitted appliances that gently reposition the lower jaw and tongue to help keep the airway open during sleep.

These dental devices are an excellent alternative to traditional CPAP therapy for many patients, offering a comfortable and convenient way to reduce snoring and improve sleep quality.

Why Consider Dental Treatment for Sleep Apnoea?
✔️ A Comfortable Alternative to CPAP
For those who find CPAP masks bulky or uncomfortable, oral appliances provide a simpler, more discreet solution—ideal for mild to moderate cases of sleep apnoea.

✔️ Addresses Structural Causes
Our dentists can identify underlying structural issues in the mouth and jaw—like bite misalignment or missing teeth—that may contribute to sleep apnoea and offer treatment options to correct them.

✔️ Improves Airway Flow
Oral appliances gently shift the lower jaw forward, helping to move the tongue away from the back of the throat and keep the airway open during sleep, reducing breathing disruptions.

✔️ Reduces or Eliminates Snoring
By maintaining a clear airway, these devices can significantly reduce or stop snoring—improving sleep for both you and your partner.

✔️ Customised for Comfort
Each appliance is custom-made to fit your mouth, ensuring a snug, comfortable fit and the best possible results. Your treatment plan is tailored specifically to your needs and lifestyle.

If you're struggling with snoring or sleep apnoea and want to explore a less intrusive, effective solution, book a consultation with our team today.
At Dental on Lawrence, we’re here to help you breathe better, sleep better, and feel better.
Bridging the gap with a durable, attractive replacement
When a tooth can’t be saved and needs to be replaced, your dentist may recommend a dental bridge – an artificial tooth anchored to one or both adjacent teeth using crowns. The bridge closes the gap and stabilises your bite, creating a long-lasting and attractive replacement.

The three types of dental bridges
Traditional Bridges – The most common bridge, traditional bridges are either porcelain fused to metal, or ceramic. A crown is created for the tooth or teeth on either side of the gap with an imitation or false tooth (a ‘pontic’) in between.

Cantilever Bridges – Used when there are adjacent teeth on only one side of the missing tooth or teeth, a cantilever bridge is best suited to the back of the mouth where there is less risk of damage to other teeth.

Resin-bonded Bridges – Resin-bonded bridges, are made of porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, or plastic teeth and gums supported by a metal or porcelain framework. Metal or porcelain wings bond the side of the bridge to your existing teeth.

A bridge offers other benefits too
While a bridge is a cosmetic treatment that restores your smile and maintains the shape of your face, it has other important oral health benefits. It also improves your ability to chew and speak, and protects neighboring teeth from damage.

At Dental on Lawrence, your dentist will consider your jawbone density, general oral health and other factors in advising if a dental bridge is the best option for replacement of your missing teeth.

Protect and restore your crowning glory – your smile
A dental crown is a simple cosmetic dental solution that restores and protects a tooth that has been accidentally chipped or broken, or weakened due to root canal therapy. Otherwise known as a tooth ‘cap’, a crown restores your tooth’s shape, size and strength, while also enhancing its appearance. A crown will withstand the pressures of normal biting and chewing. In fact, your tooth (and smile) will look even better than before!

There’s a crown to suit your needs and budget
There are several types of crowns – metal, porcelain (fused to metal), resin, and ceramic. Your Dental on Lawrence dentist can advise you on the crown that best suits your individual needs and budget.

Some crowns can be fitted in a single visit, but generally requires two appointments: The first is to prepare the tooth and a second visit is to cement the permanent crown into position.

Here’s how we fit a crown
During the first visit, your dentist may take x-rays to ensure there is no decay or risk of infection in the tooth and its surrounding bone.

An impression of the tooth is made to serve as a model for the new crown, which takes 2-3 weeks to make. While your permanent crown is being constructed, your tooth will be protected by a temporary crown.

At your second visit, your dentist will remove the temporary crown and cement your permanent crown into place, ensuring a perfect fit.

A regular dental check-up protects your teeth (and smile) for life
Dental problems never just ‘go away’. They can quickly become bigger, more painful and more costly to repair if not treated early.

Dental on Lawrence recommends both adults and children schedule a dental check-up at least once a year – more regularly if you have ongoing oral health issues.

Our check-ups come with personalised advice on oral health too!
As well as examining your teeth, your dentist will thoroughly assess your overall oral health, including your mouth, gums, jaw joints, chewing muscles, and saliva flow.

A check-up at Dental on Lawrence is painless and comes with personalised advice and tips on how to care for your teeth between visits. Together we’ll ensure you and your family keep healthy teeth for life.

Hey, sport! Protect your smile with a custom-made mouthguard
A mouthguard is a must for many sports. An expertly fitted mouthguard will not only shield your teeth from painful (and costly) damage, but protects your gums and jaw too.

But, don’t rely on a cheap, off-the-shelf plastic mouthguard. The best dental protection comes from investing in a mouthguard that’s been custom-made for you at Dental on Lawrence.

Our mouthguards are perfect for every sport!
Dental on Lawrence has a great range of mouthguards for adults and kids – there’s a style to suit every mouth and every sport.

Your bespoke mouthguard will protect your smile at training and during the game year after year, for season after season.

Root canal treatment (or endodontic therapy) used to be painful. Not any more!
Root canal treatment saves teeth – painlessly
Dental on Lawrence’s advanced dental technology means patient’s experience only minor pain or discomfort during root canal treatment. Most tell us they felt no pain at all!

Root canal treatment is the alternative to removing a painful, infected tooth that’s dead or dying from the inside. Instead of removing it, root canal treatment saves the tooth.

How we do pain-free root canal treatment
First, your dentist will numb the affected tooth and gum, then remove the infected tissue before adding medication and a temporary filling.

Later, when all trace of infection is gone, the canal is filled and the temporary filling is replaced by a crown, which strengthens the tooth and restores its shape, size and colour.

Teeth discoloured? One of our whitening kits could be a brilliant solution
Dental on Lawrence’s customised take-home teeth whitening kit lets you whiten your teeth quickly, conveniently and easily in the comfort of your own home.

First, we make ‘trays’ that are molded to fit the shape of your teeth. The trays are used in conjunction with a whitening agent that is applied to your teeth for 15-30 minutes every day for up to 14 days.

Teeth whitening is effective and safe and can rapidly improve the appearance of discoloured teeth. You’ll see the brilliant results in the mirror in no time!

Fit your teeth whitening into your busy schedule
Don’t worry if you miss a day – you can organise your teeth whitening program around your busy schedule.

Some people experience sensitivity when whitening their teeth so it’s important to discuss your options with one of our experienced dentists first.

At the end of the day Your Comfort Is Our Priority

We can offer you what other dentists might not..

At Dental on Lawrence, your comfort is at the heart of everything we do. From gentle technologies like Airflow® and The Wand®, to relaxing options like ‘happy gas’ and a calming, friendly environment—we offer a wide range of solutions designed to help every patient feel at ease. No matter your age or dental needs, we’re here to make your experience as smooth, stress-free, and comfortable as possible.

One of our most popular tools is Airflow® technology—a state-of-the-art cleaning system that combines warm water, air, and fine powder to remove plaque and stains effectively. It feels like a gentle pressure washer for your teeth and is a great option for patients with sensitive gums or those who dislike the scraping of traditional cleaning methods.

We also offer The Wand®, a computer-assisted anesthetic system that replaces traditional needles. It delivers local anesthetic with pinpoint accuracy and minimal discomfort—ideal for anyone with dental anxiety or needle phobia.

And for patients who feel especially nervous, we provide nitrous oxide sedation (commonly known as 'happy gas') to help you relax throughout your visit. It’s fast-acting, wears off quickly, and is safe for both adults and children.

From the moment you walk in, our team is here to support your comfort—because we believe great dental care should never feel stressful. Whether it’s your child’s first check-up or your own treatment, you’ll always be in gentle, capable hands.

No Needles, No Worries – Just The Magic of The Wand

At Dental on Lawrence, we understand that fear of needles isn’t just common in kids—it’s often a big reason adults avoid the dentist too, especially if they’ve had a painful or difficult experience in the past. That’s why we use a gentle, pain-free solution called The Wand to help make your visit comfortable and stress-free.

This advanced, computer-assisted device helps us numb your gums with precision and comfort, making most dental procedures virtually painless—without the traditional needle.

Why Patients Love The Wand:
Fast-acting comfort means shorter treatment times.
No lingering numbness in your lips or face.
Precise and gentle anaesthetic delivery right where it’s needed.

What Is The Wand?
Though it looks just like a ballpoint pen, The Wand is anything but ordinary. It delivers anaesthetic slowly and steadily using the latest technology, allowing for a far more comfortable experience—especially for those who feel anxious about injections.

Children and adults alike are amazed by how easy and pain-free their visit feels. It’s just one more way we make dental care more relaxed and enjoyable for the whole family.

At Dental on Lawrence, we bring together gentle technology and compassionate care—because your comfort matters.

At Dental on Lawrence, we understand that dental anxiety can keep many people from getting the care they need. That’s why we offer ‘Happy’ gas (nitrous oxide sedation)—a safe and effective way to help nervous patients feel calm and comfortable during their visit.

How Does It Work?
Happy gas is a blend of nitrous oxide and oxygen that’s been used safely in dental and medical treatments since 1844. You breathe it in through a small mask placed over your nose, and it quickly helps you relax without putting you to sleep. Because it wears off rapidly, you’ll feel normal soon after your appointment—and you can even drive yourself home.

Don’t let fear keep you from a healthy smile. Call our caring team today at (02) 6024 2588 to schedule your visit.
